About Me

My Story

I’m E.J. Young from Dahlonega, GA, founder of YoungBuckets Hoops, a basketball training program targeting boys and girls between the ages of 6-18. Basketball has been a part of my life since early childhood. I was a high-school basketball standout at Lumpkin County High School and I played one year at Toccoa Falls College and I still haven’t put down the ball!  I currently play in several leagues, coach youth boys and girls and recently organized a basketball tournament! I’m so excited to start YoungBuckets Hoops and work with the youth in our community!

My Mission

I founded YoungBuckets Hoops to assist the youth in Dahlonega and surrounding communities with their basketball skills development and to fulfill my passion for basketball and giving back to my community.  The mission is to empower and positively impact the youth through the game of basketball.  Understanding that, when done right, basketball is simply a tool that builds self-confidence, character, and discipline.
